HayCarga - A Scalable Microservices-Based Logistics Platform for Transportation Companies

HayCarga is a web and mobile platform designed to digitize logistics operations for small and medium-sized transportation and parcel delivery companies. The solution centralizes customer management, pricing, routes, dispatching, drivers, and deliveries into a single system, providing real-time shipment tracking and complete operational visibility.

Its architecture was built to support business growth, enabling companies to process from hundreds to tens of thousands of shipments per month without compromising performance, availability, or user experience.

Challenge

Transportation companies often rely on fragmented operational processes managed through spreadsheets, phone calls, and messaging applications. This makes shipment tracking difficult, increases operational errors, and limits business scalability.

The challenge was to build a platform capable of handling high-volume logistics operations while ensuring availability, resilience, and continuous processing during peak demand without increasing operational complexity.

Solution

To address this challenge, HayCarga was built using a NestJS microservices architecture, where each service is independently deployed and communicates through RabbitMQ using an Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).

This approach enables asynchronous processing of thousands of operations, decouples business services, and provides high fault tolerance while ensuring operational continuity even during unexpected failures.

The web platform was developed with Angular, delivering a fast and intuitive interface for dispatchers and administrators, while the driver application was built with Flutter for Android and iOS, allowing drivers to manage deliveries, report incidents, and capture proof of delivery directly from their mobile devices.

As a result, HayCarga can support companies processing more than 20,000 shipment guides per month, maintaining high availability, scalability, and consistent performance.
